Fourth announcement

Conference Program

A preliminary program of PSAS'2002 conference is now ready. 68 contributions have been registered and a preferred method of presentation for most of them has been selected by participants as oral. Because of limited conference time we are able to schedule only a part of such contributions for oral sessions. Most contributions have been scheduled for poster presentation. 23 contribution were selected as reviews and regular talks, and 5 for shorter presentations. Most contributions (40) will be presented as posters. We apologize for lack of possibility to present more contribution as talks.

Preliminary schedule and program of all sessions has been put into our web site. Few experiments are now in progress and since the results have not yet been obtained the presentation are scheduled as posters. We have reserved some room for few short talks (10 min) to present their progress if any promising results will be obtained by the time of conference. These short presentations will accompany the posters and they are scheduled for time prior the poster session.

You can check a method of your presentation and if you have been selected to present an oral contribution, please, let us know what do you need for that. The poster size is 1m *1m.

The social part of the program can be a subject of changes.

Book of abstracts

We thank participants for sending us their abstracts in latex for our book of abstracts which is now available on-line as either pdf or zipped postscript file.

Visa application

The work on official invitation is in progress and we expect to receive them by about June, 7, and they will be immediately delivered by fax to the participants. We hope there will be enough time to obtain the Russian visa.

If you need any confirmation that your contribution has been accepted by the organizing committee, please, tell us.

Call for contributed papers

The conference proceedings will be published by Canadian Journal of Physics. The extended versions of review papers will also be published as a book by Springer-Verlag (we are negotiating for that now). The book will be covered by the organizing fee, while the CJP conference issue will not. The participants will be free to decide themselves if they would like to order a conference issue and/or extra copies of their contributions from CJP.

To accelerate preparation of the conference issue we kindly ask contributors to submit their papers as latex files by the conference and so allow us to organize their referring during the meeting. All manuscripts will be refereed and submission does not guarantee publication.

The instructions for authors and latex style file for CJP can be found at http://www.nrc.ca/cgi-bin/cisti/journals/rp/rp2_auth_e?cjp. The sample file can be download here ( sample1.tex ). If you have any problem with nrc1.cls style you may use the previous style file ( cjp.cls ). The style file and sample file needed for cjp.cls can be download here ( cjp.cls, sample.tex ). Note that the sample files sample.tex and sample1.tex have different first lines.

Any contribution is expected to be not shorter than 5 pages and not longer than 7 pages.
